Awesome hiking trails, mini golf, swimming. Rated the best for a reason. Fun for the whole family.
Bring quarters if you plan on using the showers (they cost $.50/per 3 minutes.) Good scenery, and activities. Mini golf was hazardous, broken down and cost $3/per person.
This is quiet cozy little state park. The little lake is pretty and I'm sure great for fishing and the hiking trails were nice. The small nature center was neat and my kids enjoyed it. Only complaint I had if when camping the showers are pay showers and it doesn't say this anywhere on the website or when you rent a spot. We had to go and bum quarters off people to take a shower the first night because we didn't have any change. Otherwise a great little state park.
Horrible experience. The park is run down. The pool was green. The swimming area was grown over and unswimmable. The minigolf area is falling apart so much that it creates a safety hazard. In addition to loose boards and rusted nails sticking out everywhere, it's also infested with red wasps. Our daughter got stung. This has been our worst experience by far at a state park.
We love staying here. The cabins are always booked but there are tent and RV spots galore.
